Dr. Laura Sicola is a leadership communication and influence coach, trainer, speaker and author of Speaking to Influence: Mastering Your Leadership Voice. Laura is the founder of Vocal Impact Productions in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is known for her coaching and live on-camera trainings that turn C-level executives and other leaders into master influencers who get to yes and close the deal.

Dr. Sicola has spent nearly 20 years coaching, lecturing, researching and publishing, and has delivered keynotes, workshops, and training programs on topics such as executive presence, communicating through conflict, vocal empowerment for women in leadership, strategic networking and interviewing skills, power-pitching and presentation skills.

She is an advisor for the C-Suite Network™ and the SupporTED™/TED Fellows organization, has coached over a dozen TED speakers, and has given multiple TED talks herself. Dr. Sicola’s TED talk, Want to Sound like a Leader? Start by Saying Your Name Right has over 5.5 million views, and she has appeared on Fox Business News, Fast Company Magazine, Forbes.com, Conscious Millionaire Podcast, Coaching for Leaders podcast and more.

She has spoken to audiences in the United States, Egypt, Japan, Spain, China and Germany, and has helped clients and students from around the world. She has worked with companies such as Comcast, Chubb, Wikimedia, GSK, Independence Blue Cross, EY, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Vanguard, the US Department of Commerce, IBM, and Women Against Abuse. She earned her PhD in educational linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania where she also taught from 2001-2013.
