Maria Ansari, MD is the Physician in Chief and Chief of Staff of Kaiser Permanente, San Francisco Medical Center where she oversees the medical group and care delivery across the outpatient and inpatient worlds in an integrated, multidisciplinary model of care. The medical center has one of the largest cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology programs in Northern California with nation leading quality outcomes. She is a cardiologist specializing in heart failure and started KP’s first cardiology fellowship program. She trained at UCSF for her cardiology fellowship where she was previously an Assistant Clinical Professor. Prior to that she was at the University of Michigan where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology, Medical Degree, and training in Internal Medicine. Together with her husband, two kids, and new puppy, she lives in San Francisco and enjoys running in the Presidio.
