Senior Vice President of External Affairs, Blue Shield of California
Kimberley Goode is senior vice president of External Affairs at Blue Shield of California, a 4-million- member nonprofit health plan that serves the state’s commercial, individual and government markets.
Goode has more than 25 years of communications experience with several global companies, including Kellogg’s, Prudential Financial, American Express and Allstate. She was previously vice president of Corporate Communications and Corporate Affairs at Northwestern Mutual, were she was responsible for leading the company’s internal and external communications strategy.
Goode is active in the public relations profession and in the community. She is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society for chief communication officers and the Executive Leadership Council, an organization dedicated to the development of global African-American leaders. She is also a member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., The Links, Inc. and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
She was named to PRWeek’s “2017 Hall of Femme,” a program that honors women who challenge the status quo and strive for creative excellence.
Goode holds a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University’s School of Journalism.
