Emmy Award Winning Co-Anchor ABC7 News
I grew up in the Bay Area and discovered my love of journalism writing for my high school newspaper. At U.C. Berkeley, I reported for radio station KALX while interning at multiple TV stations. My news sense kicked into high gear during the Loma Prieta earthquake. I crossed the Bay Bridge one hour before the partial collapse! It was all hands on deck at the TV station where I was interning, and I got the chance to get interviews and write stories. When I heard the first story I wrote on air, it was a defining moment. I reported for stations across the country, from Fresno to New York City before coming home to ABC7 News/KGO-TV in 1998.
Most rewarding for me as an anchor is providing continuous coverage during breaking news. It’s when our community needs us most, to deliver accurate, important information in real time. That’s also why I enjoy tweeting during the newscast, receiving instant feedback and sharing information with viewers! Tweet me anytime or find me on Facebook and Instagram.
