Founded by our own enduring champion of gender equity, U.S. Congresswoman Jackie Speier, PBWC has been fighting the good fight for equal access to opportunity in professional settings for nearly 30 years. Still, women are under-represented in the halls of power. We comprise an unacceptable 15% of this nation’s C-suite positions. In almost every industry, we are over-represented on the lower rungs of the corporate ladder and paid less than our male counterparts for equal performance. We remain, like too many others with out-sized talent and under-sized access, on the outside looking in.
