With more than 25+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, procurement and site management, Carla brings unique insight and expertise to her role as Sr. Vice President of Global Engineering & Facilities. In this role, Carla is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance and life-cycle asset management for Genentech and Roche’s global manufacturing network.
She is a respected mentor at Genentech, in the industry and community. Carla is also a sought after inspirational speaker. She serves on the Board of Directors for Bay Area Council, the Genentech Foundation, and is a member of the International Women’s Forum. Carla holds a Bachelor of Science, Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
In 2016, Carla was recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the most influential women in business in the Bay Area, and in 2017 was named to their “Forever Influential” Honor Roll. In 2017, Carla was also selected as a Hall of Fame honoree for the Northern California Real Estate Women of Influence Awards.
Outside of work, she can be found working in her kitchen and garden, and keeping up with the latest music trends with her teenage daughter.
